New Events:

January 5th: The saxophone stylings of Joe Moore

We will be entertained by Joe Moore and his saxophone music and singing in the Main Dining Room on January 5th at 10:00 a.m.

January 11th: Outing to Christ Church Cranbrook to enjoy The Steve Wood Jazz Quartet!

On January 11th there will be an outing to Christ Church Cranbrook to hear the talents of the  Steve Wood Jazz Quartet. Residents will be leaving at 3:15 p.m. for a 4:00 p.m. show time.

January 15th: We're going to the West Bloomfield Library to hear The Irish/Celtic Acoustic Trio

Don't miss our outing to the West Bloomfield Library on January 15th for a music concert featuring The Irish/Celtic acoustic trio and their flute, guitar, and bass with vocals. We will be leaving at 2:15 p.m. for the 3:00 p.m. concert.

January 17th: The men's lunch get together

On January 17th the men will be getting together at noon for a lunch in the Hollingshead Room. This is a time for the men to get to know each other better.

January 19th: It's time for our residents' monthly Birthday Party!

Our monthly Birthday Party for residents will be held on January 19th with the entertainment (Gary the Accordion Player) commencing at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Dining Room.

January 21st: The Gentlemen Songsters are here to entertain us

The Gentlemen Songsters will be here to entertain us on Saturday, January 21st, at 3:00 p.m. in the Hollingshead Room. 

January 25th: A nice shopping trip to Target and a Welcome Tea for the new residents

On January 25th, there will be a shopping trip to the Target store leaving at 9:30 a.m.

Also on the 25th, we will be celebrating and welcoming the new residents to St. Anne’s Mead with a Welcome Tea in the North Lounge at 3:30 p.m.

January 26th: Our first-ever Wine and Cheese Tasting Party with a musical prelude

On January 26th, we will be having the 1st Wine and Cheese tasting party at St. Anne’s Mead. There will be 4-5 different wines and cheeses, along with a chance to socialize with fellow neighbors. As a prelude to the party, Dan Bryson will be here at 2:00 p.m. to entertain us with his musical talents!

January 31st: The Junior League Chorus to entertain us.

The Jr. League Chorus will be here on January 31st to entertain us at 2:00 p.m. in the Hollingshead Room.

February 7th: We're going to the DIA!

Looking ahead to February: we will be going to the DIA on Tuesday, February 7th, leaving at 9:30 a.m. if you are interested in joining us as a volunteer, please contact Hallie at 248-557-1221.

Recurring Events:

Join our Energize and Relaxation Group on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m.!

Please join our Energize and Relaxation Group that meets on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. The group works on stress relief, meditation, and breathing techniques. Lead by Betty Lane, we are so blessed to have her visit us weekly and share her knowledge and passion.

The Knitting and Crocheting Club meets every Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

The knitting and crocheting club continues to meet on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. New joiners are welcome to knit, crochet, or just socialize.

The group recently completed over 100 saddles for stuffed ponies and donated them to a local foster care agency. We are very blessed to be able to provide a small token of love and friendship to the children of the Detroit area.

Thank you to Marci and Nancy for volunteering to be here and assist the residents every Sunday night.

Michael The Violinist entertains us on the 1st Monday of every month!

Michael the Violinist entertains us on the 1st Monday of the month. Michael will be playing the violin during the dinner meal in both the AL area and Nursing areas.

Every Thursday we will be having "Wii Time" in the North Lounge at 3:00pm.

Residents will enjoy Nintendo Wii games such as: "The Price is Right," "Wheel of Fortune," "Bowling/Sports" and "Jeopardy." This is time to come enjoy your neighbors and get a chance to laugh and play.

Weekly sing-alongs with Terry Mathews.

Terry Mathews is a talented pianist that has been entertaining residents at St. Anne’s for many years. Our residents enjoy his “sing-along” programs weekly.

Wednesdays with Margaret.

Wednesday's with "Margaret" continues to be an exciting addition to our monthly schedule. Margaret is an Art Therapist and has provided a dynamic range of projects for our residents. Margaret has two sessions every Wednesday morning held in the Creative Art Studio. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend!

Monthly Gentlemen's Lunch

Once a month, there will be a special lunch opportunity for the men to get together, socialize and discuss topics of conversation.
